As a travel enthusiast from Scotland, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Maoldon Bank in the charming town of Mallaig. This beautifully renovated apartment, located on the ground floor of an old bank, offered a unique and memorable experience. We enjoyed watching the daily steam train and listening to the local pipe band by the harbour. the host, Catherine, warmly welcomed us with a tray of drams, freshly baked fruit cake, and a cozy fire, making us feel right at home. The attention to detail in the apartment was evident, with quality fittings, tasteful décor, and modern amenities such as free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. the historic touches, like the bathroom door being a vault door, added to the unique charm of the space. the thoughtful provisions in the kitchen, including tea and coffee facilities and a minibar, were much appreciated. the combination of comfortable accommodation, welcoming hosts, and prime location made it a highlight of our trip.
